it.Compensation OverviewThe annual base salary range for this
position is a nationwide market range, reflecting salaries across
the country. The actual salary will depend on factors such as role
scope, complexity, location, candidate skills, education, training,
credentials, experience, and other employment conditions. Employees
are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards as
part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program.Salary
Range$123,000.00 - $203,000.00Target Openings1What Is the
Opportunity?As an Architect, you will help lead the effort to
define the technology target state for the Bond and Specialty unit
of our global, Dow 30 company. Reporting directly to a member of
the Enterprise Architecture and Emerging Technology leadership
team, you will collaborate with senior technology leaders to
transform our business and technology capabilities, paving the way
for best-in-class solutions. You will contribute to defining a
target state, creating roadmaps, and identifying emerging
technologies to optimize the business. You will learn to be an
inspired architect with coaching and mentorship. The ideal
candidate will have a proven track record of building high-quality
enterprise solutions, be results-driven, possess strong engineering
skills, and have a deep understanding of modern technologies such
as Cloud-native, APIs, AI, and ML. You will work within a community
of architecture leaders to establish and evolve a unified
architecture vision.What Will You Do?
- Own architecture within a major segment of Technology
Architecture supporting the Bond and Specialty Insurance unit.
- Lead proof of concept initiatives to validate architecture
solutions.
- Engage in hands-on prototyping of new technologies.
- Partner with Software Engineering to execute proof of
technologies.
- Provide architectural guidance to engineering teams.
- Display thought leadership in modern architecture principles
and technology modernization.
- Drive continuous technology transformation to reduce technical
debt.
- Collaborate with Software Engineering to ensure alignment with
technology strategies.
- Analyze industry and technology trends to identify
opportunities for innovation.
- Participate in defining target state architecture and
roadmaps.
- Ensure IT initiatives align with the target architecture.
- Build strong partnerships with engineering teams to align
skills and technology directions.
- Continuously improve architecture efficiency and
effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.What Will Our Ideal Candidate
Have?
- Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent
experience, with 4+ years of engineering experience.
- Experience with Snowflake, DataBricks, MongoDB, SQL Server, AWS
preferred.
- Experience working within an agile operating model.
- Proven experience in proof of concepts and technology
development.
- Strong software engineering background.
- Support for technology target states and roadmaps aligned with
business goals.
- Insurance technology experience is a plus.
- Understanding of value creation and business capability
models.
- Commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
- Cybersecurity certifications like CISSP, CISM, Security+, CISA
are preferred if applicable.
- Passion for technology transformations with hands-on recent
experience.
- Experience with cloud-native migrations, API strategies, AWS,
APIs, accelerators, DevSecOps.
- Cloud architecture certification (AWS, GCP, Azure) or extensive
cloud architecture experience.
- Good security understanding.
- Experience with large-scale technology platforms.
- For Information Architects: experience modernizing data
technology and architecture on cloud; familiarity with ML and AI
analytics; hands-on data tech experience on cloud.What Is a Must
Have?
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Five years of experience in engineering software or analytic
