Description This Accounts Receivable (A/R) position is an opportunity to grow with a thriving company. As the permanent Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will work in the Hempstead, New York region. In this role, it will be critical for you to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging reports, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, and update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L.
Major responsibilities
- Verify documents and codes
- Support, relate, and strengthen the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Reply to information requests from stake holders, including shippers, customers, and the sales/marketing department
- Handle monthly closings and annual reports, including processing payments and compiling segments in compliance with GAAP
- Work with clients to solve payment issues; set up payment plans as needed
- Post and balance financial data in various ledgers to reconcile bank accounts
- Follow standard procedures to execute general accounting tasks Requirements - Skilled with ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
- Account Balance experience desired
- Foundational knowledge in Account Records
- Deep understanding of account management
- Experience with Account Setup
- Adeptness in Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Expertise in Account maintenance
- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
- Relevant experience in accounts receivable
