This role is an ideal position for a person who would enjoy
representing the interests of AAA Northeast within its Mobile
Battery Service & Approved Auto Repair (AAR) network, through hands
on coaching, demonstration, proper technique, and overall
execution. You will play a significant role in implementing AAA's
Mobile Battery Program across our independent service provider
network, while continuing to drive the adoption & adherence of all
associated AAA programs. Working within an assigned area, the
Automotive Field Specialist is responsible for not only coaching
up-and-coming battery service technicians throughout our network,
but also developing and maintaining strong relationships with the
repair facilities within our independent network. This role does
require driving within our local, assigned areas during daytime
business hours, 3-5 days a week.Responsibilities:Mobile Battery
Service Provider(BSP) Technician Coach:Responsible for supporting
the Training Department, with hands on training, through coaching &
development, of newly trained & current underperformingISP network
Mobile BSP Technicians. Dedicate 1-2 days per week to evaluate
technician skills and reinforce training procedures to improve
technician safety, service quality and performance.Works
collectively with External Field Operations and the Technical
Training department to identify technical training needs of the
facilities; may assist in developing training; delivers technical
training programs to support External Field OperationsOffer support
to new trainees for video preparation & submission, offer BSSAsand
observations to existing Technicians to evaluate training &
equipment needs, ensureproper safety, technical and member service
procedures are followed, focus on proper B2Q testing operation and
eDocs warranty and invoicing, consistently monitor technician
performance and provide support when necessary.Develops AAR
specific project plans, acquires resources and coordinates the
efforts of team members and contractors or consultants in order to
deliver projects according to plan.Develops strong and effective
working relationships between AAR facilities and AAA Northeast;
establishes trust, respect and cooperation with owners, to ensure
the spirit of Five Diamond Customer Service reaches all Club
members.Processes applications from potential contract garages;
interviews owners and performs on-site inspections of equipment and
facilities, ensuring AAA operating standards and contract
compliance.Monitors all assigned AAR facility activities to ensure
that Club and National quality standards are met; visits assigned
facilities regularly to assure program standards are being met,
i.E. signage, yearly insurance, etc.Counsels facilities regarding
opportunities for improved service and follows through until the
desired result occurs; keeps facility owners abreast of customer
satisfaction responses; informs External Field Operations
management of areas of concern.Qualifications:Mechanical aptitude
with Account/Sales Manager experience preferredAutomotive Service
Writer, Manager or repair industry experience preferredValid
driver's license requiredTravel required approximately 4 days a
week with 1 day in office or at homeOE/ASE (Automotive Service
Excellence) Certification preferred but not requiredHigh School or
GED required, 2 or 4 Year College Degree Preferred
