Job Description:

Manage multiple and concurrent technical projects as well as mainframe modernization and/or optimization of key business applications. Lead a team of developers in modernizing existing application out of PowerBuilder & Mainframe. Develop, implement, and manage project roadmaps to align and evolve with key business objectives. Serve as Scrum Master, implementing and guiding agile processes that ensure successful project delivery. Draft and manage communications, documentation, and reporting mechanisms that provide both a resource repository and regular updates to key leaders and stakeholders. Develop, track and manage project budget, scope, timelines, and metrics for projects under your purveyance. Partner with your product owner to define value, ensure that the whole team delivers on that value, and inspire continuous process improvement. Support development and maintenance of new and existing product solutions deployed in various process/service areas. Collaborate with business analysts, and other stakeholders throughout the project. Facilitate / collaborate with other Chubb IT / business groups to troubleshoot and resolve critical technical issues. Ensure quality assurance and testing protocols are met on all deliverables. 8 - 10 years of experience in software development Technical Experience – Programming Languages and Frameworks such as C#, .NET, and Angular Previous Experience with PowerBuilder or PowerBuilder modernization efforts Previous Experience in MVS environment, with expertise in tools such as ISPF, CA7, VSAM, Cobol, DB2, JCL, DB2 Database Management and Integration (SQL, SSIS and SSRS) API Design and Development incl Proficiency in REST APIs Development Tools and Environment (Azure, TFS, VSS, JIRA) Background in the Insurance/Financial Services Industry is a plus. General Skills: Excellent documentation skills Sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical & focused approach to complex problem solving. Experience in supporting large complex projects and programs a plus. Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills to meet strict deadlines. Ability to identify and formulate mitigation strategies for technical issues/risks. Chubb is a world leader in insurance.
