Specialist provides pre-sales technical marketing support for
Canon's New Business Acceleration division, working on such
revolutionary projects as Free Viewpoint Video System technology.
The specialist is a hands-on technical role that will be directly
involved in setting up technical demos and marketing presentations
as well as performing maintenance and calibrations for FVS and
other projects as required. This role will require significant
travel, minimum 50% or more with expectation to support the FVS
system and deliver technical sales and marketing presentations both
in-person and virtually. This position is considered remote with a
majority of work performed on-site at client locations. Proximity
toMelville, NY required for in-office HQ attendance requirements.
Responsibilities- Deliver pre-sales technical marketing support for
all Canon technical project - Perform regular System Operation and
System Maintenance including hardware and software- Work on
problems of diverse scope across multiple projects- Provide on-site
support for Hardware maintenance/setup and remote technical support
to operators- Demonstrate specialized knowledge or skills in a
particular functional area of current project- Assist relationship
lead with support for accounts, including coordination with 3rd
party contractors- Conduct market research, evaluating competitor
technologies and customer needs- Some Product Marketing and
Planning duties (i.e. future product updates) Qualifications-
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (Engineering
Technology, Videography, Photography) - 3 to 5 years of related
experience - Detail-oriented with the ability to troubleshoot and
isolate technical problems and recommend appropriate actions and
solutions- Professional Knowledge of photography, videography
and/or cinematography including advanced audio-visual production or
video production/editing skills. - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.;
physical work expectation including use of ladders and operating at
various heights and tight spaces- Possess proficiency with the
Canon product line, particularly the applications of professional
imaging products. - Excellent public speaking and presentation and
basic sales skills- Ability to travel minimum 50%, roughly 3 - 4
overnight days - Shift flexibility with ability to work extended
