Job Description:

Mental Health Association of Nassau County (MHANC) is a not-for-profit membership organization dedicated to improving mental health in our community through advocacy, education, program development and the delivery of direct services. Our organization is looking for motivated individuals with a calling to help adults with mental illness by becoming a Network Administrator. The Network Administrator directs the operation of Information Technology for the Mental Health Association of Nassau County, Inc. (MHANC). As the Security Officer for MHANC, the Network Administrator will ensure the proper adherence to security policies, procedures and practices. Network Administrator ensures proper IT system operations and plans towards necessary upgrades to ensure proper IT functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop, implement, manage and oversee adherence of security policies and procedures in consultation with MHANC's Privacy Officer, Corporate Compliance Committee and Executive DirectorEnsure appropriate protection and safeguards for the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of ePHIOversee the dissemination of security policies and procedures to MHANC's end-users, vendors and partnering entities which have access to ePHIPartner with IT MSP-Vendor(S) to respond to security incident, including but not limited to, breaches, violations, and system hackingOversee IT MSP-Vendor(s) contracts, ensuring service agreements are implemented and vendor relationships are in good standing.Administer end-user workstations and supports end-user activities utilizing best practices.Investigate user issues, hardware and applications. Analyze source to determine possible solutions; tests and implements solutions. (PC's, Laptops, Chromebooks, Thin Clients)First line of troubleshooting of networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficultiesAssist IT MSP in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of organizations IT equipment, including but not limited to Workstations, network cabling and other related equipment, devices and systems. Upgrades and configures printers and related equipmentPerform and or coordinate software and application installation and upgrades including online portalsWork with IT Vendors and Accounting/Purchasing to maintain organizations IT licenses Implement account control procedures, including employee account additions, terminations, changes and passcode updates, conduct quarterly account audit.Coordinate Wireless Accounts, orders, billing, activations, Mobile Device Management product install, terminations. Troubleshoot issues. Smart phones, Flip Phones and Jet Packs.Manage Telco and Cable Carrier installs and outage repairs for offices and some residences.Hands on management of Altice Hosted VOIP phone system including phone MAC's, troubleshooting and upgrades. Phones, Fax Machines, Conference phones.Keep inventory of IT equipment and publish staff phone directories. Develop and conduct various training and instruction for staff including but not limited to security policies and Shield act Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the end-users on the networkAssists end-user of organization as a technology resource.Maintain working knowledge of legislative and regulatory initiatives. Other duties as assigned RequirementsEducation Bachelors in computer science, network administration, or related field degree, requiredMaster's Degree in network administration or related field, preferred Experiences Minimum of three (3) years' experience managing security systems in a health care agency, required Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical end-users. Ability to install, configure and maintain personal computers, networks and related hardware and software. Ability to maintain confidentiality.Knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures and techniques. Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operations problems. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to learn and support new systems and applications. Driving 'clean' NY State driver's license, required. Travel to various MHANC sites within Nassau County approximately 25% of time.by Jobble
