TechnicianPosition Summary / Purpose The Nuclear Medicine
Technologist is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the
Nuclear Medicine laboratory, ensuring safe, accurate, and
high-quality diagnostic imaging services. This role includes
patient education, equipment operation, and performance of nuclear
medicine procedures in accordance with established policies,
procedures, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities Operate Nuclear Medicine laboratory equipment
and perform required quality control testing. Prepare and
administer radiopharmaceuticals following safety protocols and
regulatory standards. Educate patients and families regarding
nuclear medicine procedures and address questions or concerns.
Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures in compliance with
departmental policies and best practices. Ensure proper
documentation and adherence to radiation safety guidelines.
Maintain equipment functionality and report issues as needed.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure
optimal patient care. Comply with union guidelines and
institutional policies. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience Minimum of one (1) year of experience
as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Education Required: Associate
Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree Certifications & Licensure Required: Certified
Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine
Technologist (NMTCB) Post-secondary certification in Computed
Tomography (CT) Radiologic Technologist License issued by the New
York State Department of Health BCLS certification Note: ARRT-R
certification is not required. Schedule & Location Location: New
York, NY (10029) Hours per Week: 37.5 Shift Options: 7:00 AM – 3:00
PM (Monday–Friday) or 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Monday–Friday) Contract
