Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist Job Description The Medical
Director/Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist will oversee clinical care
at the Center for Healthy Families, ensuring the highest standards
of psychiatric and behavioral health services for children, youth,
and families. This part-time role combines direct patient care,
clinical supervision, and program oversight. Responsibilities
Provide direct psychiatric care and evaluation for children, youth,
and families in an outpatient setting. Supervise and support
clinical team members in assessment and treatment planning. Review
and sign off on treatment plans, intakes, and clinical
documentation. Lead and participate in monthly staff meetings,
serving as Medical Director for regulatory and accreditation
purposes. Collaborate with medical and clinical staff to ensure
compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Guide and
mentor clinical staff in best practices for psychiatric care.
Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, and peer
review activities. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current trends
in child and adolescent psychiatry. Other duties as assigned to
support program quality and patient care. Essential Skills Medical
degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. Completion of an
approved residency in psychiatry. Board certification in Child &
Adolescent Psychiatry. Active and unrestricted Connecticut medical
license. Experience working with children, adolescents, and
families in clinical settings. Ability to function effectively in a
multidisciplinary team and communicate with diverse populations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
Commitment to compassionate, high-quality care and continuous
improvement. Flexible schedule with potential for growth in hours
and responsibilities. Clinical supervision and teaching experience.
Familiarity with outpatient behavioral health settings. Ability to
sign off on treatment plans and intakes. Strong collaboration and
communication skills. Experience in trauma-informed care or family
systems preferred. Comfort with virtual platforms and remote
collaboration. Double board certification (Child & Adult
Psychiatry) is a plus. Experience with virtual care delivery is
advantageous. Familiarity with Joint Commission standards. Prior
leadership or director-level experience in behavioral health. Work
Environment Most work can be done virtually, except for direct
patient care. The clinic operates from 8 AM to 8 PM, and a monthly
in-person staff meeting is required. The work environment promotes

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $104000.00 -
