Job Description:
The Stage Manager I position supports Studio & Remote production
activities. -The Stage Manager will be the eyes and ears for the
Director in the studio and on stage for remote productions,
relaying specific direction to talent and the technical crew.
-Ensure that all sets are in place and that production positions
are staffed. -Anticipate, and troubleshoot, if necessary, problems
that may arise in the studio during a production and alert the
Director to any of these potential issues. -Communicate any rundown
changes and how they may affect camera blocking and talent
positions in the studio. -Responsibilities:
- Oversees an assigned studio. -Ensures that the Director has all
materials and equipment needed to direct the production. -Ensures
that sets are in place and working; and that needed studio
positions are staffed.
- Ensures talent needs are met in terms of equipment, including
iPads, proper chairs, pens/papers, mirrors. -
- Arranges the positioning of floor monitors based on talent
locations. -
- Participates in pre-production activities. -
- Coordinates with and ensures the availability of assigned
talent and guests.
- Assists the Director with studio floor management activities;
controls the live or live-to-tape aspects of productions.
- Identifies and reports issues with studios and production staff
to the appropriate organizational unit; follows-up to ensure the
resolution of identified studio operation issues. -
- Ensures compliance of assigned tasks with established standard
operating procedures. -
- Oversees the management and distribution of studio props.
- Sends out daily communication of Stage Manager coverage.
- Practices and maintains the performance standards as they apply
to leadership, communication, operations, personal development and
productions, and consistently perform all of the duties and
functions required of the role of Stage Manager. -Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Candidates must be highly motivated, willing to work unusual
hours and must demonstrate the ability to work under pressure to
meet ever-changing deadlines. -Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in a major market or at the
network level---.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.Required Education
