Job Description:

Located in Nassau County, our top hospitality client seeks a Director of Banquet Operations to manage day-to-day activity for entire banquet operation including kitchen and building maintenance, ensuring that the organization is managed and performing efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities
Work directly with CEO
Responsible for budgeting and performance of banquet operations including banquet staffing and plant operations.
Implement performance strategies and monitor results.
Hire and train department managers and staff.
Weekly financial reporting and budgets.
Weekly performance meetings with general manager.
Coordinate with sales department manager.
Compliance and reporting with human resources department.
Responsible for closing and securing facility at completion of day's events.
Staff evaluations and advancement.

Job Requirements:
Requirements -
Thorough understanding of catering industry practices, theories and finance.
Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and other catering industry software
Familiarity with catering industry labor laws and mandates.
