Permanent, full-time job ( direct hire ) offering W2 annual salary with full benefits

Job location: on site in JFK Airport in NYC - no remote work !

Quality Engineering / Reliability Engineer : - Identify equipment performance trends and conduct analysis to improve the overall reliability of assets directly attributable to site penalty schemes. - Supply MDBSAF ( Mean Distance Between Service Affecting Failures) rail vehicle statistics by providing trend analysis and data pertinent to the system and rolling stock fleet-affecting failures - Supply MTBSAF ( Mean Time Between Service Affecting Failures ) wayside statistics by providing trend analysis and data pertinent to the system and rolling stock fleet-affecting failures - Generate an associated cost to downtime events by using historical data, and develop a report that clearly depicts what systems and sub-systems are primarily (20% of Events Causing 80% of Downtime) responsible for downtime data events - Work together with Maintenance and Engineering teams to determine potential projects or data analysis that can be provided to assist with downtime events and system failures. Create a mechanism to track selected opportunities with defined processes in place for end-user expectations - Participate in all relevant problem-solving boards and meetings.

Qualifications : - Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline - Actual experience in the field of Reliability Engineering : RAM / RAMS ( Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety ) Engineering, Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis ( FMECA ), Failure Reporting, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action ( FRACAS ), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis ( FMEA ) - Process failure mode and effects analysis ( PFMEA ) and Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis ( DFMEA ) - Quality Engineering: PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), etc - Relevant experience with data analysis ( data analytics , business intelligence ) to identify risks that can affect asset reliability and business operations and provide feedback that improves system downtimes - Reporting using MS Excel and ideally MS Power BI - Certifications like Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional ( CMRP ) or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician ( CMRT ) will be a plus - Previous experience in ruch roles as : Reliability Engieer, Industrial Quality Engineer / Manufacturing Quality Engineer will be a plus
