all types and stages of delinquent accounts, including Consumer
Loans, Mortgages, Home Equity Loans, HELOCs, Student Loans, Credit
Cards and overdrawn accounts, with proven aptitude in resolving
late stage collections.Be goal-oriented and able to work
independently and as part of a team to achieve assigned goals and
objectives.Be flexible in availability to work shifts as needed.
Collection shifts may involve working early and late shifts that
are not consecutive (i.e. 9-5/10-6/11-7). There may be occasions
based on the needs of the department to alter the regular schedule
as requested by the Collections management team.Maintain daily work
Queues as well as accounts requiring intervention daily. Utilize
reports to identify areas of opportunity that should be focused on
in optimizing ownership of assigned portfolios.Update systems
records as required within multiple platforms, with high attention
to detail and accuracy.Achieve daily inbound/outbound call
requirements. Handle telephone/email/correspondence inquiries
concerning delinquent accounts and provide counseling to members,
accurately recording detail on the appropriate collection
system(s).Research and audit account records to determine missed
payments and/or possible discrepancies when necessary.Speak to
members to determine reason for delinquency; using excellent
customer service and rapport-building skills, evaluating members'
financial situations and negotiating terms of repayment to bring
account(s) current while maintaining quality and accuracy for
compliance and excellent member service.Recommend to management
accounts that should be considered for accelerated charge-off
and/or are in need of legal referral.Use advanced negotiation
skills to resolve escalated calls. Use analytical and critical
thinking skills needed to dissect and resolve complex servicing
related issues in a clear and concise manner that a member will
understand.What we need from you:High School graduate, some college
preferredMinimum four (4) years of credit union or banking consumer
collections experienceIntermediate proficiency with MS Suite,
including Word, Excel, Outlook, and prior financial institution
core system and collection software system experience (Fiserv DNA
and Temenos a plus).Strong Collection background with knowledge of
all aspects of Collection processes, including thorough knowledge
of and compliance with FDCPA, FCRA, NCUA, Bankruptcy and state and
federal laws and regulations required.Advanced knowledge of
collection systems and important metrics, self-motivated, strong
problem solving abilities, detail-oriented, and ability to ensure
quality of work completed.Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills, adept at negotiating, maintains a sense of urgency,
possesses solid collections skills, self-motivated in working
independently and as part of a team, and displays critical analysis
and sound judgment capabilities.Applicants MUST submit a cover

additional time as needed.The position is a hybrid, currently 3
rotating days per week in-office (with every Monday required)/2
days per week work-from-home, including monthly Saturday shifts (4
hours).Work From Home and Hybrid Requirements: This particular
position is Hybrid and requires in-office / plus work from home
days to our offices in Westbury, New York:Internet speed of 100
mbps or higher required (you can test this by going to
www.speedtest.net).Able to dedicate a quiet space for daily work
that is free of sound interruptions.All equipment will be provided
