We have a client currently in need of a success-driven Full Charge Bookkeeper. In this Full Charge Bookkeeper position, you will regulate journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, full cycle A/P, payroll, and bank reconciliations. The Full Charge Bookkeeper can also be responsible for the clerical staff. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Hempstead, New York area. Apply today!
Your responsibilities in this role
- Enter Accounts Payable
- File budget transfers
- Clarify business license and gross receipts
- Complete cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.
- Skilled in credit card management and reconciliation
- Assemble subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement
- Group sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
- Handle monthly accounting close
- Regulate Accounts Receivable
- Create cash flow projections, as needed
- Extra unique tasks if required
- Ready monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents Requirements - Knowledge of account reconciliation
- Adeptness in Administrative Assistance
- Accounting procedures experience highly desired
- Comprehensive knowledge of Account Balance
- Strong familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
- Vow to meet business deadlines
- Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
- Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
- Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
- Proven analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills
- Dynamic accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
